Apple and ebooks: iBookstore DRM and how to remove it

Requiem — Stripping DRM from Apple's iBookstore Ebooks

Ebooks from Apple's iBookstore are usually encrypted with Apple's own Fairplay DRM scheme.

The only tool that removes Apple's DRM is Requiem by Brahms. Requiem is not included in the main tools archive, and is separately maintained by its author, Brahms.

Version 4.x works with iTunes 10.6 and above, Windows and Mac OS X, but no longer removes DRM from iBooks.

The latest version to remove DRM from iBooks is 3.3.6 and works with iTunes 10.5.x, Windows and Mac OS X.

Requiem has a Tor website: http://tag3ulp55xczs3pn.onion. To reach the site using Tor, you will need to install Tor (http://www.torproject.org). If you're willing to sacrifice your anonymity, you can use the regular web with tor2web. Just go tohttp://tag3ulp55xczs3pn.tor2web.com.

Alternatively, you can download it from these download links:
