I'm posting here the copies of AMSS that I have extracted from various ROMs, they are basically the same version (AABBQMLYM129005) but are all slightly different.
To install one of these, extract it from the 7z file, this will give you something like amss.mbn-162, rename this to amss.mbn and copy it to the /cust_backup/image folder on your phone. You can do this from a running system, from recovery (it's /cust/image in that case), or from the bootloader (pink screen).
I'm using amss.mbn-162 and it seems to work well.
AMSS is the Advanced Mobile Subscriber Software that runs on the ARM9 CPU in our phones, it is a complete embedded OS using the L4 microkernel and controls the RF interface, power management and some other things so is quite important.
